MIAMI – Hundreds of people across Miami-Dade and Broward counties lined up to get free, confidential HIV/AIDS tests on World AIDS Day, a global health day observed annually on December 1. The multi-site testing event was hosted by Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson, in partnership with Walgreens and several local health clinics.

MIAMI – In observance of World AIDS Day, Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson (FL-24) will partner with Walgreens and several health clinics throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties to offer free health screenings and HIV/AIDS testing on Thursday, December 1, 2016, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Giveaways for individuals who are tested will be provided by Walgreens.
Local officials are working to treat the latest Zika zone around Little River, but across Biscayne Bay, more mosquitoes have tested positive for the virus in an area already treated.
Now, some elected leaders are saying that there is another factor beyond bugs, travel and sexual transmission is contributing to the spread of the virus.
MIAMI – Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson held a press conference today to address the new Zika zone identified in Miami’s Liberty City neighborhood. She was joined by Dr.
Hurricane Matthew could bring life-threatening rain, wind and flooding to Florida. All residents who could be affected are urged to take steps to ensure that they and their families are prepared. There also should be in place a plan for pets.
