McKinley: We Must Come Together as One Nation

Congressman Calls for Unity on Anniversary of Attacks

Washington, D.C.– Congressman David B. McKinley, P.E. (WV-1) released the following statement ahead of the 15th Anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 terror attacks:

“On the 15th Anniversary of the September 11th terror attacks we remember the 2,977 innocent lives that were lost and the courage of our first responders. We must never forget the events of that day and we must always be grateful for the brave men and women who serve in our military and fight to keep us safe.

“Fifteen years later, America continues to face grave and growing threats from people who want to destroy our country. We can defeat these enemies if we stand united, as one nation. This September 11th, we should honor the victims of the attacks by setting aside our differences. Let’s embrace our common values, and work together to become a more perfect union. God Bless the United States of America."
