Wheeling Intelligencer Editorial: Obama's policies hurt W.Va. miners

President Barack Obama has, in effect, proclaimed himself to be the "health care president." He also insists he is a friend to coal miners.

But his administration is slashing funding for black lung clinics in West Virginia. For coal miners and their families, there is no more important health care issue.

Eight black lung clinics are operated throughout the state by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. Federal money is critical.
