WBOY: Congressman David McKinley Travels the State to Tackle Issues Facing West Virginians

Congressman David McKinley is traveling the state to tackle issues facing West Virginians.

Today in Fairmont, he discussed drug abuse with law enforcement, the prosecuting attorney and several probation officers.

McKinley said it's very important to listen to the voices of the people.

"We don't have all the answers in Washington but if we listen to the people here about some of the issues. Today, we are talking about drug abuse. How do we deal with this? What's the education process? Are the doctors over prescribing pain medicines? What are we going to do about opiates and the abuse?" said Rep. David McKinley, (R) West Virginia.

McKinley also talked with single mothers today in Charleston.

He'll head to Wood County tomorrow. He has planned 250 meetings in total.
