Protecting Access to the Ballot Box

Whether you are an elderly member of our community, serving in our armed forces overseas, or a young university student whose personal documents are not with them at college, I firmly believe that all citizens should have equal access to the ballot box. Democracy thrives when all citizens can voice their concerns. We have come too far to allow misguided State laws to add bureaucratic red tape to the ballot box, and I will continue working in Congress to ensure that the voices of all voters are heard. Texas will do best when more of its citizens can participate in deciding our shared future. I have sponsored several campaign finance reform bills and legislation to restore voting rights.
