58th Presidential Inauguration

The Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC) is responsible for planning and executing the swearing-in ceremony for the 58th Presidential Inauguration. The inauguration of the 45th President will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017.

The swearing-in ceremony will take place on the inaugural platform located at the front of the United States Capitol. Ticketholders will have entry into a secure, restricted, standing room only area on the US Capitol West Front grounds. Each Senate office is given a limited number of tickets to distribute to constituents.

To Request Tickets from Senator Johnson office:

Please email inauguration@ronjohnson.senate.gov with the following information:
Name
Address
Phone number
Email address
Number of tickets

We have received more request than we have tickets so not all who request tickets will receive them. We will, however, contact everyone who emails a request. Ticket requests will be accepted until 11:59pm on Jan. 10.

For those selected to receive tickets, all tickets must be picked up from our Washington, D.C. Office from January 17 - 19, 2017. You will be asked to provide photo identification to pick-up your tickets. Please notify our office the name of the person from your party who will be picking up the tickets. Tickets cannot and will not be mailed or delivered.

What to expect:

The Inauguration is on Friday, January 20, 2017. The pre-ceremony starts between 11am-11:30am and the official ceremony will start shortly thereafter. For security purposes, there will be many prohibited items. The list is not yet available, but we will provide you with that information when it is made available.

Washington, DC is very cold during January and you should prepare to layer with warm jackets, gloves, socks and shoes. It can average below freezing, and potentially could rain or snow.

Tickets to balls or galas are sponsored by private entities and the President-Elect’s Inaugural Committee. Our office does not have information about those events.
