Helping to ensure our national security is my most solemn responsibility as a United States Senator. The use of our military must always be the option of last resort. We must also use smart diplomacy to confront the challenges of the 21st century. The Minnesota men and women who have served our nation in the military make a secure United States possible, and for that, we are forever in their debt. We have a responsibility to make sure that our veterans have the highest possible quality of life, the best care when they need it, and easy access to the benefits they’ve so honorably earned.
