Washington, D.C.—Today, Rep. David B. McKinley, P.E. (R-WV), released the following statement on the death of the Honorable David “Mick” Staton:

“Mary and I are saddened to learn of the death of Mick Staton, who served our great state honorably in Congress and in private life. Mick was a trailblazer of the conservative movement in West Virginia, and proved that conservatives could win in the Mountain State. He was a true leader and will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mick’s wife Lynn and his entire family.”

Staton was 74 years old.
