Washington, D.C.—Rep. David B. McKinley, P.E. (R-WV), released the following statement on House Speaker John Boehner’s decision to form a Select Committee to investigate the September 2012 Benghazi attacks:

“After years of stonewalling by the Obama Administration on the facts surrounding the deadly Benghazi attacks, the American people deserve the truth. The families of the four brave Americans who lost their lives during the terrorist attack deserve straight answers. As an original cosponsor of legislation to further investigate what happened in Benghazi, I applaud Speaker Boehner for today’s bold move to create a Select Committee to investigate and report on the attack on our consulate. Congress should not rest until the truth finally surfaces and all the questions are answered.”
