McKinley: "We Need to Start Dreaming Big Again"

Washington, D.C.—Today, Rep. David B. McKinley addressed more than two thousand construction leaders from across the country at the 2014 Building Trades Conference in Washington, D.C.

“After spending fifty years in the construction industry and working side-by-side with many of the crafts represented at this conference, it was an honor to address those hard-working men and women,” said Rep. McKinley.

“Since coming to Congress, we have worked together effectively with the building trades on issues like energy and investing in our infrastructure,” added McKinley. “This will create jobs, not only in construction, but in manufacturing as well. This will revitalize the middle class.”

“We need to start dreaming again about what is possible rather than focusing on where we differ,” said McKinley. “I am committed to investing in our infrastructure to create jobs.”

Rep. McKinley was only one of four House Members and the only Republican invited to speak at the conference. Prior to his address, Rep. McKinley met with a delegation of the West Virginia Building Trades.
