McKinley Named to Energy Conference Committee

Committee formed to work out differences with Senate on energy bill

Washington, D.C.- Speaker of the House Paul Ryan has named Congressman David B. McKinley, P.E. (WV-01) to a Conference Committee that will work out differences with members of the Senate to pass the first comprehensive energy bill since 2007.

“In a town known for its gridlock and partisanship, conference committees have become a rare occurrence in Congress. We now have an opportunity to pass important legislation that modernizes our energy infrastructure, simplifies the permitting process, improves efficiency,  and advances clean coal technology,” said McKinley.

“It’s an honor to have been named to this committee and I look forward to working to address our most pressing energy concerns,” McKinley said.
