McKinley Announces Funding for Petersburg Volunteer Fire Company

Washington, D.C. – Congressman David B. McKinley, P.E. (WV-1) announced that the Petersburg Volunteer Fire Company in Grant County will receive a grant for $68,492 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA’s) Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Program. The grant will be used to improve operations and safety.

“To keep our communities safe we must make sure that our first responders have the resources necessary to respond to each emergency. The firefighters of the Petersburg Volunteer Fire Company put the well-being of others before themselves. This grant will allow them to better protect our homes and businesses,” said McKinley.  

Background on the Firefighters Grant Program
