The U.S. Armed Forces have a rich history spanning generations of American servicemembers. Many veterans share their stories of battle, service, and camaraderie with friends and family, but these stories are too often not recorded. Joe wants to help preserve these stories by working with the Library of Congress' Veterans History Project, an effort to collect, preserve, and make accessible the personal accounts of American war veterans so that future generations may hear directly from veterans and better understand the realities of war.
For more information on how to submit your story or to learn about how to interview a veteran in your community, visit http://www.loc.gov/vets or call Joe’s office at 317-226-5555.
