The President of the United States, the Vice President, Members of Congress, and other agencies and organizations have the authority to nominate individuals to a military service academy. If you have a question about a specific academy, please contact the academy's admissions office directly. In addition to applying for a nomination, all applicants must apply directly to the service academies. You can find out more about our great military academies at the following links:

Letters of Recommendation

Letters of recommendation allow for me to gain a better understanding of you, from those who know you best. Two of your letters of recommendation should come from an academic source: a high school teacher, college professor, counselor, or principal. Your third letter of recommendation should come from a non-academic source, such as a coach, employer, clergy/church member, mentor, volunteer, or an adult family friend (anyone that is not related to you).

All letters of recommendation should be submitted electronically from the authors to nominations@tomudall.senate.gov.

CANDIDATES: Please print and give this form to the individuals writing your letters.
