The Federal Transit Administration has selected Buses and Bus Facilities Competitive Grants award winners. Through the “Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act” (FAST Act), signed into law on December 4, 2015, Congress reformed the federal Buses and Bus Facilities Program, and provided an 89 percent increase in dedicated funding for buses and bus facility needs, through both stable, long-term formula funding, as well as targeted competitive grants. The FAST Act also reformed federal procurement requirements to reward innovation and ensure federal investments are made wisely.
