Topline Messaging: Rep. Diane Black (R-TN)

Obamacare was the Democrats’ Big Government attempt to “fix” our health care system.  But the fact of the matter is, this disastrous law has failed us.

What we need is a 21st Century Health Care system — one that’s affordable, stable, and secure. We need a system that provides choices for everyone. Perhaps Rep. Diane Black (R-TN) sums it up best when she says, “This week, Congress took the first steps to repeal Obamacare, but that doesn’t mean a return to the status quo. As we work to replace Obamacare with something better, there will be a stable transition period, so that no one has the rug pulled out from under them. Our goal is a system that lowers cost, that spurs free market competition, and ultimately empowers you, not bureaucrats in Washington.”

Remember, Republicans have always promoted a personalized, patient-centered health care system that is affordable, stable, and secure.

So this week, House Republicans will begin to take action on our plan to fix our broken health care system. It won’t be a return to the pre-Obamacare status quo, rather it’s a new approach to put people back in control of their health care decisions.

Rep. Black talked more about this in our latest Weekly Address, which you can view by clicking here.
