Summary:
Extends veteran reintegration programs for five years and clarifies that veterans participating in the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) agency’s Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH) program are also eligible for HVRP.

S.485—The APPROVAL Act
Summary:
Requires that the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) receive the approval of both the governor and the public service commission of an affected state, before exercising the federal power of eminent domain to acquire property for Section 1222 transmission projects.

S.543—The EPA Science Advisory Board Reform Act
Summary:
Makes changes to the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Science Advisory Board (SAB) by increasing transparency, enabling SAB reviews of EPA “risk or hazard assessments” that are used to justify regulations, ensuring that the dissenting views of scientists on review panels are not silenced, standardizing the SAB member selection process to make it consistent with practices at the National Academies and other federal agencies, limiting non-scientific policy advice, increasing SAB disclosures, and eliminating SAB conflicts of interest.

Summary:
Names the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 201 B Street in Perryville, Arkansas in honor of Sergeant Harold George Bennett, a Perryville native, a POW during the Vietnam War.

S.1982—Korean War Veterans Memorial Wall of Remembrance Act of 2015
Summary:
Authorizes a Wall of Remembrance to be added to the Korean War Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. This addition to the current memorial, to be built without the use of public funds, would recognize individual members of the United States Armed Forces who gave their lives in theater during the Korean War, as well as the number of service members who were wounded in action, are listed as missing in action, or who were prisoners of war during the Korean War.

S.2048— National Child Protection Training Act
Summary: Seeks to improve child abuse training programs and enhance child protection nationwide. The bill would build on the success of the National Child Protection Training Center’s (NCPTC) facilities at Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota, and at Northwest Arkansas Community College in Bentonville, Arkansas. These centers have developed cutting-edge curricula, certification and degree programs, and classes for law students, medical students, and professionals to help improve child abuse training.

S.Amdt.348 to United States Government budget for fiscal year 2016
Summary: Establishes a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to installing watchdogs at Federal agencies with extended Inspector General vacancies and strengthening and reforming Offices of Inspectors General to ensure that such Offices are appropriately prioritizing the investigation of waste, fraud, abuse, and misconduct within Federal agencies.

S.Amdt.1668 to the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016
Summary: Requires a report on the impact of Air National Guard mission changes for missions based at public airports.

Summary: Honors certain member of the reserve components of the armed forces as veterans.

S.Amdt.1942 to S.Amdt.1463 to the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016
Summary: Facilitates the relocation of the human cranium that is in the possession of the National Museum of Health and Medicine and that is associated with the Mountain Meadows Massacre of 1857 for interment at the Mountain Meadows gravesite.

S.Amdt.2231 to Every Child Achieves Act
Summary: Supports professional development to help students prepare for postsecondary education and workforce.

S.Amdt.2507 to DRIVE Act (H.R. 22)

Resolutions

S.Res.232— A resolution expressing the sense of the Senate that August 30, 2015, be observed as “1890 Land-Grant Institutions Quasquicentennial Recognition Day”.
Summary:
Expresses the sense of the Senate that: (1) August 30, 2015, should be designated as 1890 Land-Grant Institutions Quasquicentennial Recognition Day; and (2) the Department of Agriculture and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture should remain committed to supporting the goals of the Second Morrill Act and the Smith-Lever Act, which have helped the United States develop agricultural leaders.

S.Res.237—A resolution condemning Joseph Kony and the Lord's Resistance Army for continuing to perpetrate crimes against humanity, war crimes, and mass atrocities, and supporting ongoing efforts by the United States Government, the African Union, and governments and regional organizations in central Africa to remove Joseph Kony and Lord's Resistance Army commanders from the battlefield and promote protection and recovery of affected communities.
Summary: Condemns Joseph Kony and the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) for perpetrating crimes against humanity and mass atrocities, and supports efforts by the United States, the African Union (AU), the international community, and governments in central Africa to remove Joseph Kony and LRA commanders from the battlefield and promote protection and recovery for affected communities.

S.Res.261— A resolution designating the week of October 11 through 17, 2015, as “National Case Management Week” to recognize the role of case management in improving health care outcomes for patients.
Summary: Recognizes the role of case management in providing successful and cost-effective health care.

S.Res.504—A resolution recognizing the 70th anniversary of the Fulbright Program
Summary: Recognizes the 70th anniversary of the Fulbright program. Encourages the President and the Department of State to work with the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs to support the Fulbright program and congratulates all Fulbright award recipients.
