Choice & Women’s Health
I strongly support the fundamental, constitutional right of a woman to make her own decisions regarding her reproductive health, and I’m working hard to improve and expand access to critical health care services for women, including safe, legal abortions.
I support the Affordable Care Act, which prohibits insurance companies from discriminating against women based on their gender and provides women in Connecticut with affordable access to contraception. I also have fought for increased funding for Title X family planning centers, which offer comprehensive health care to low-income women and men across the country.
I will stand up to any and all efforts in Congress to defund women’s health care or restrict women’s fundamental right to make their own health care decisions.
