Water

Securing a reliable and clean supply of water continues to be one of the greatest challenges facing the Central Valley. Our jobs and way of life are at stake and it is my top priority to ensure that our farmers, farm workers, and communities receive the water they need to get our economy going again.

We must grow our water infrastructure to meet California’s growing needs and make significant investments in building new reservoirs and expanding those we already have.

It is important that Congress works to cut the environmental red tape that has created a man-made drought in the San Joaquin Valley. We must ensure our nation’s environmental laws place the water needs of America’s families and farmers first.

As a dairyman and farmer, I truly understand what it means to suffer a drought and will continue to fight for water for the Central Valley until a solution has been achieved.
