I am a member of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.

The Committee on Energy and Commerce, the oldest standing legislative committee in the U.S. House of Representatives, remains today as the body's principal guide in the promotion of commerce, public health, energy and technology.

The Committee is vested with the broadest jurisdiction of any congressional authorizing committee.  It has responsibility for the nation’s environmental quality, affordable energy, telecommunications, consumer protection, food and drug safety, public health, and interstate and foreign commerce.  It oversees multiple cabinet-level departments and independent agencies, including the departments of Energy, Health and Human Services, and Commerce, as well as the Environmental Protection Agency, Federal Communications Commission, Food and Drug Administration, Federal Trade Commission, and the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

I am also a member of the following subcommittees:

Subcommittee on Energy and Power
Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade
Subcommittee on Communications and Technology

I am a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

The United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) is a critical national security committee in the U.S. House of Representatives.  The HPSCI is charged with the oversight of the United States Intelligence Community, which includes the intelligence and intelligence related activities of 17 elements of the US Government, and the Military Intelligence Program.

I am also a member of the following subcommittees:

Subcommittee on the Central Intelligence Agency
Subcommittee on the National Security Agency and Cybersecurity

I am also a member of the House Select Committee on Benghazi.
