Internship Application

Note: Fields marked with an * are required.

Are you a college student interested in learning more about the United States Senate and federal legislation affecting Missourians?  If so, you should consider applying to intern in any of Senator Roy Blunt’s five offices across Missouri or the Washington, DC office.

By assisting the state staff, interns have the opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of how a senator’s office provides constituent services, interacts with the community and serves as a liaison to the Washington, D.C. office.

An internship in Senator Blunt’s Washington, D.C. office is a fantastic experience that will provide a student interested in government and public service with the opportunity to participate in the legislative process and learn more about our government at work.

All internships in the offices are unpaid and candidates chosen for the Washington, D.C. internships will be responsible for paying their travel and living expenses.

Your request for an internship in the Washington, D.C. office must include certification from your professor or the head of the department of your university demonstrating you will receive college credit for your internship opportunity.

Preference will be given to Missouri students who permanently reside in the Show-Me State.  Candidates must complete two years of college work prior to their internship and must be a United States citizen or in the United States legally.

Please complete the following application no later than May 1st for fall interns, September 1st for spring interns and December 31st for summer interns.

For more information, please contact the appropriate office.
