WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senators Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) announced grant funding totaling $761,057 for three West Virginia projects in Princeton, Bradshaw and Huntington. The funding will be used to map 30 sewer systems in 11 counties, implement a sanitary sewer upgrade plan, and finance a self-sufficiency educational program.

“The support from Appalachian Regional Commission enables these communities to invest in infrastructure upgrades and workforce training programs. This funding is excellent news for Princeton, Bradshaw and Huntington and will support their critically important projects that maintain and strengthen our communities,” Senator Manchin said.

“Funding for these Appalachian Regional Commission projects is welcome news,” said Senator Capito. “In order to build strong communities, and attract new businesses and residents, we must continue to invest in local programs, such as these infrastructure and workforce training initiatives. I look forward to seeing the positive results these projects will bring to the Princeton, Bradshaw and Huntington communities.”
