Chairman David Vitter

U.S. Senator David Vitter is a bold, conservative reformer who is fighting to solve our most significant problems with Louisiana common sense.

David works hard to truly represent Louisiana citizens. He's held over 375 town hall meetings in every parish of the state as well as 180 telephone town halls. David has refused to join the congressional retirement system, is fighting to have Congress live under the same Obamacare rules as everyone else, and has refused the lucrative health care subsidy members of Congress currently receive.

After serving as a bold conservative reformer in the state legislature, Senator Vitter was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. He was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2004 and overwhelmingly re-elected in 2010. As the Chairman of the Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee, he advocates for Louisiana’s small businesses by shaping policy that will reinvigorate small business growth by freeing them from unnecessary impediments from the federal government.

David and his wife Wendy have four children and live in Metairie.
