No More Excuses. It’s Time to Build the Keystone Pipeline!
Congressman Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) issued the following statement on House passage of H.R. 3, the Keystone XL Pipeline Act.
“The American people are sick and tired of the excuses they see coming out of Washington. They don’t want excuses; they want solutions to the challenges we face as a nation. “Earlier today, the Nebraska Supreme Court removed one of President Obama’s last excuses for blocking the Keystone XL pipeline. It’s a no brainer. The Keystone pipeline has bipartisan support in Congress and overwhelming support from the American people because we understand, better than the President, the benefits this energy project will have for our country. “The Keystone pipeline will directly create 20,000 jobs, lower gas prices even further at the pump, and protect American energy security by allowing more than one million additional barrels of oil to flow to U.S. refineries. I look forward to the Senate passing this legislation and sending it to the desk of President Obama.
