Warren fired off another letter to Wells Fargo CEO John Stumpf this week rattling off a series of pointed questions about the bank's military lending, including whether it even deserves to have branches on U.S. military bases at all, CNN reported.

Nobel Peace Prize Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday for his dogged, but unfulfilled, effort to end a half-century civil war. The Norwegian Nobel Committee said it made the decision because of Santos’s landmark attempt to stamp out one of the world’s longest-running conflicts, which has killed more than 220,000 and driven at least 7 million from their homes since 1964, The Washington Post reported.

Mylan to Pay Settlement Mylan agreed to pay $465 million to settle allegations that it overcharged the government for its EpiPen products, the latest move by the embattled pharmaceuticals firm to quell the furor over its pricing practices. The settlement with the U.S. Department of Justice comes after senators and federal health officials recently alleged Mylan had wrongly classified EpiPen as a generic product, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Indigenous Peoples’ Day Vermont has officially changed Columbus Day to Indigenous Peoples' Day. Gov. Peter Shumlin signed an executive proclamation Thursday, making the change. Under the decree, Shumlin said a growing number of cities have recognized the second Monday in October as Indigenous Peoples' Day and that the day is “an opportunity to celebrate idigienous heritage and resiliency,” NBC5-TV reported,
