In the 114th Congress, the House Small Business Committee will be conducting vigorous oversight of federal agencies, closely monitoring legislative proposals and examining proposed rulemakings to ensure that the government does not unfairly expand the scope of programs that could negatively affect a small business owners’ flexibility to effectively run their businesses and manage their workforce. 99% of all businesses in the United States are classified as small and the House Small Business Committee will continue work to ensure small firms have a seat at the table when the federal government discusses changes to the way business is done.
