All Members of Congress are prohibited from sending unsolicited communications to their constituents 90 days prior to an election. With the General Election on November 6th, this means as of August 8, 2012, I can no longer keep you informed unless you tell me to keep the news coming.
That is why I encourage people to “sign up” so that I can still send you breaking updates on what is happening in Congress during the 90 day blackout period. I consider constituent communication a vital part of my job as your representative and wanted to ensure that you continued to have unfettered access to news coming from my office.
