Surface Transportation Reauthorization: Examining the Safety and Effectiveness of our Transportation Systems

Washington, D.C.- Chairman John D. (Jay) Rockefeller IV today announced the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation’s Subcommittee on Surface Transportation and Merchant Marine Infrastructure, Safety, and Security will hold a hearing on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. titled, “Surface Transportation Reauthorization: Examining the Safety and Effectiveness of our Transportation Systems.” This hearing will focus on the surface transportation reauthorization and evaluate the safety and effectiveness of rail, motor carrier, hazardous materials, and research programs currently administered through the U.S. Department of Transportation.
