Monday, Apr. 18th  – Washington, DC - Rep. Jared Polis (CO-02), released the following statement today regarding the rally to support DAPA and DACA+ programs at the Supreme Court. US v Texas will determine the fate of President Obama’s Deferred Action for Parents of Americans (DAPA) and the Deferred Action for Child Arrivals (DACA+) programs.

"US v Texas is an important case for American and Colorado families. I'm attending a rally at the Supreme Court to support DAPA & DACA+ programs that allows parents of American children to work legally because it's a commonsense approach," said Polis. "President Obama has the authority to focus the Department of Homeland Security's limited resources on the removal of serious criminals over the parents of American kids and "dreamers" who grew up here and know no other country. DAPA and DACA+ makes Americans safer, keeps families together, and is consistent with actions taken by Democratic and Republican Presidents for decades."

"The Fifth Circuit’s decision that stalled these programs was founded in politics, not in any statute or legal precedent. I’m confident the Supreme Court will ultimately reverse the Fifth Circuit's baseless decision so that these commonsense enforcement priorities can take effect."
