Rep. Eshoo believes that our nation’s security is her first responsibility. She believes that military intervention should come with clear, definable, and realistic objectives to prevent the loss of American lives and financial resources. She also believes strong national security and the deeply held values represented in our Constitution must both be protected.

As a former member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, Rep. Eshoo is one of the few members of Congress experienced in conducting oversight of our nation’s intelligence activities.

Rep. Eshoo believes that the United States has a special responsibility to be a global leader and to engage with other countries around the world to resolve conflicts, alleviate humanitarian crises, and improve development and trade.
