But the drive to White River Junction can be onerous for some veterans — and especially those who need frequent medical care, or who need care during the difficult winter months. Bernie led the way in establishing out-patient clinics in different regions of Vermont. Now, no Vermont veteran has to travel a long distance to see a doctor or get medical care.
