(Washington, DC) - Today, U.S. Senator Dean Heller (R-NV) announced he is cosponsoring the Bipartisan Sportsmen's Act of 2015. The bill, introduced by Senators Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) and Martin Heinrich (D-NM), will enhance outdoor recreational opportunities and makes it easier for businesses in the industry to grow and hire.

“Nevada has sportsmen and women, including myself, all across our state. From hunting to fishing, hiking, and beyond, outdoor recreation is in our DNA,” said Senator Dean Heller. “The lure of economic opportunity the Bipartisan Sportsmen's Act provides is far too great to bypass, and I would like to see this measure move quickly through Congress.”

The bill has 16 cosponsors: Senators John Barrasso (R-WY), Michael Bennet (D-CO), Tom Cotton (R-AR), Steve Daines (R-MT), Joe Donnelly (D-IN), Deb Fischer (R-NE), Cory Gardner (R-CO), Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND), Dean Heller (R-NV), John Hoeven (R-ND), Tim Kaine (D-VA), Angus King (I-ME), Joe Manchin (D-WV), Claire McCaskill (D-MO), James Risch (R-ID), and Jon Tester (D-MT).
