Committee Assignments

Congresswoman Moore serves on the House Committee on Financial Services. This committee has jurisdiction over the entire financial services industry, including the securities, insurance, banking, and housing industries. The Committee also oversees the work of the Federal Reserve, the Treasury, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and other financial services regulators.

Congresswoman Moore serves on two subcommittees of the House Committee on Financial Services:

Monetary Policy and Trade Subcommittee: Congresswoman Moore serves as Ranking Member on this subcommittee, which oversees domestic monetary policy as well as the U.S.’s relationship with multilateral development and finance organizations like the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.

Housing and Insurance Subcommittee: This subcommittee oversees the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Government National Mortgage Association. The subcommittee also handles matters related to public, affordable, and rural housing as well as community development, including Empowerment Zones and government-sponsored insurance programs, such as the Federal Housing Administration and the National Flood Insurance Program.

Congresswoman Moore also serves on the House Committee on Budget. This Committee has jurisdiction over legislative oversight of the federal budget process, drafting Congress' annual budget plan, and monitoring action on the budget for the Federal Government.  In addition, the Budget Committee has jurisdiction over the operation of the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).
