Each year, Congresswoman Matsui nominates a small number of young people to the United States military service academies. Selections are made on the basis of SAT scores, academic transcripts, and an interview with the Academy Selection Advisory Committee, which takes place in Sacramento in early December.
All military academies require that nominees be a citizen of the United States between 17 and 23 years of age, be unmarried, and have no children.
For further information, or to request an application, please contact the Academy Nomination Coordinator in Congresswoman Matsui's District Office at (916) 498-5600 or the service academy to which you seek to apply.
