Dear Friends,

I can’t think of a better way to end the year than with signing the Helping Families in Mental Health Crisis Act into law.

To the Sandy Hook families and all those who made this possible, who gave their time and took a stand, thank you. To anyone out there struggling, looking for answers, know that you are not alone. We are with you. We are fighting for you. 

This is what Christmas is all about: peace, goodwill, and above all, love. 

And this Christmas, as we gather with our family and loved ones, we can rejoice knowing that hope is on the way to so many families who for too long have lived in the shadows.
