Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge Statement on U.S. Abstention from U.N. Resolution Vote on Israel

WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, OH - On December 23rd, the United States abstained from voting against an anti-Israeli resolution at the United Nations Security Council. Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) released the following statement regarding this action:

"I am disappointed at the Administration’s decision to abstain from the anti-Israeli resolution at the United Nations Security Council last week. After years of international partnership, our actions sent the wrong message to the world. Israel is indeed our truest ally in a very dangerous region. Our actions, and that of the UN Security Council, do nothing to promote peace in the Middle East.”
