Education Resources

From K-12 and beyond, Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge wants to provide you with the tools necessary to access a quality education. The following highlight policies and programs from the federal government, non-profit organizations, and other resources to get every student on the road toward academic success.

The Department of Education (DOE) is an agency within the federal government charged with distributing money to states through grants in order to improve student achievement, school facilities, teacher quality, and more. The DOE also ensures that schools are in compliance with Civil Rights laws in regards to race, class, gender, and orientation. Further, the DOE is the leader in collecting data on America’s schools, which is in turn used to craft policies in Congress to promote achievement for all students. • Over $1 million in 21st Century Community Learning Centers funds to create community learning centers that provide after-school reading and math support for students in high-poverty or low-performing schools
