Immigration

The primary role of a government is to provide for the security of its people. To do so, it is essential that we secure our borders and ports of entry. We must be diligent in assuring that individuals who come into the U.S. do not pose a risk to our national security. For this reason, I have supported immigration reform that would put a priority on border security and creating a biometric entry-exit system to track visa overstays. We are a nation of immigrants, but we are also a nation of laws, and those laws must be respected and enforced. Our immigration system should reward those who play by the rules and come to America legally.
