Privacy Policy

If You Send Us Personal Information:

In order to encourage open and honest communications with constituents, rest assured that information you provide to my office will be treated confidentially by my staff and me in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

When you request our assistance in resolving a casework matter, the information you provide may be shared with the appropriate state or federal government agency or entity to address your issue. Please note, to make an inquiry on your behalf with a federal agency, the Privacy Act of 1974 requires we obtain your written consent in order to assist you with your situation. My office will not share information submitted to this office with any outside organization or individual other than when needed to perform constituent casework at your request, in the course of a legal proceeding or investigation, or if the communications are potentially unlawful or pose a risk to health or safety.

Information Collected or Stored Automatically:

My basic Internet privacy policy is simple: my website collects no personal information about you when you visit the site unless you choose to provide that information to us when expressing your views or concerns or requesting my office’s assistance with a matter involving a federal agency.

Pursuant to U.S. Senate policy, the only information that is collected or stored automatically is aggregate data about visits to Senate websites, such as statistics that show which parts of each website are most frequently visited, the domain used to access the Senate website, the date and time of visit, and the address of outside websites that provided links to Senate sites. This information is gathered for the purpose of enabling Senate offices to improve online services. To learn more about the Senate's Internet security and privacy policy online, please go to this address: http://www.senate.gov/security.html.

Links to Other Websites:

This website includes links to other websites, including those of other government agencies. When a visitor is taken to a site location that does not include “senate.gov” in the address, then he or she has left the Senate web server and should refer to that particular website’s privacy policy.

If you have questions or concerns about this privacy policy, please contact us here.
