Trade Bulletins

The USCC trade bulletin appears during the first week of each month, when the U.S. Census releases its latest figures on bilateral trade between the United States and China. The bulletin’s objective is to analyze this data, as well as a wide range of other relevant issues pertaining to bilateral economic relations. The bulletin is divided into three segments: (1) Summary of trade development and trade-related policy issues; (2) Analysis of specific sectors (advanced technology products plus a highlighted sector); (3) Assessment of the health of China’s economy.

In addition to the U.S. Census, the bulletin draws on a comprehensive set of data sources, including: China-related media articles aggregated by USCC staff; specialized databases for Chinese government statistics; and specialized publications from government, industry, and academia.
