Inauguration

On January 20th, 2017, our nation's capital will once again be the scene of history as America's 45th president is sworn in. Washington, D.C., will be buzzing with excitement during the inaugural ceremonies and there are lots of ways for visitors to take part.

Tickets to the Swearing-in Ceremony:

The window for requesting tickets to the Swearing-in Ceremony of President-elect Trump has closed. Missourians who are selected for tickets through our office's random drawing will be notified by Friday, December 16th.

If you do not receive tickets, you can still view the Inauguration from the National Mall. The U.S. National Park Service will set up public stands from 4th Street NW back down the National Mall to the Lincoln Memorial. From there, the Swearing-In ceremony will be available for viewing on large projection screens.

Inaugural Parade:

Information on the inaugural parade and how to purchase seated tickets will be made available by the Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) later in the year. This page will be updated with the PIC's website once it has launched.

Additional information on the Inaugural Parade is available on the Joint Task Force National Capital Region website. The application window for Missouri organizations and groups to march in the parade has passed.


Inaugural Balls:

Information on official inaugural balls and how to purchase tickets will be made available by the Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) later in the year. This page will be updated with the PIC's website once it has launched.
