Press Release
Congressman Chris Collins today blasted the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) during a Committee on Small Business hearing entitled “Regulatory Overreach: Is EPA Meeting Its Small Business Obligations?”
Congressman Collins opened his questions by stating, “It’s hard to defend the indefensible,” when referencing Deputy Administrator’s Perciasepe’s attempts to explain why the EPA had not withdrawn their controversial waters of the U.S. ruling. The Congressman went on to tell Deputy Administrator Perciasepe that “farmers don’t trust you, landowners don’t trust you, and the public doesn’t trust you.”
