Congressman Chris Collins to Talk with National Business Leaders about ObamaCare Impact
Congressman Chris Collins (NY-27) will speak about how ObamaCare is impacting the economy and job growth at the Job Creators Alliance ‘Free Enterprise Leadership Summit’ in Florida tomorrow. Collins is the only member of Congress speaking at the event and will participate in a panel discussion on how the implementation of ObamaCare is affecting businesses and the American economy.
“ObamaCare is a wet blanket on our economy,” said Collins. “Business owners throughout my congressional district continue to share stories of how the implementation of ObamaCare is and will continue to affect their company, their employees and their bottom line. I know these stories are shared by business owners all across the country.”
“As bad as these stories are, the unintended consequences of this legislation are just beginning to be realized,” continued Collins. “Sadly, many business owners and employees have yet to fully understand the impact ObamaCare will have on their lives and our national economy. Short of repeal, Washington must focus on finding commonsense solutions to the unjustifiable burdens ObamaCare will place on companies as the Obama administration continues to roll out these new regulations.”
The Summit features national opinion leaders including Jeb Bush, former Governor of Florida; Paul LePage, Governor of Maine; Stephen Moore, senior economist for the Wall Street Journal; and Jim Clifton, CEO of Gallup. Speakers will talk with business executives of both large and small companies about the challenges they face in the current economy. In addition to ObamaCare, the Summit will feature discussions on American manufacturing, education reform, and supporting free enterprise.
