Congressman Chris Collins Reacts to House Vote Reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act

“Helping to protect women from violence should not be a matter of debate in Washington.  As a husband, father of two daughters and brother to five sisters, I am pleased Congress acted to reauthorize this historically bipartisan legislation.  There are many matters in Washington where both parties are understandably miles apart given our different political and economic philosophies, but doing what we can to protect women from violence should be more than enough reason to bridge the political divide.”
