Congressman Collins Fights to Find Cures Faster with New Legislation

Congressman Chris Collins (NY-27) today released the following statement after introducing, the Clinical Trials Modernization Act, legislation to streamline clinical trials and expedite the discovery of disease cures. 

“This legislation has the potential to improve millions of lives by freeing innovators from burdensome regulations and allowing them to get life-saving drugs and medical devices to market quicker,” said Congressman Collins. “It reduces excessive testing that often delays critical drugs from reaching patients in need, and is a significant step towards modernizing clinical trials and drug approvals. I look forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to pass this vital legislation.”
