Congressional App Challenge
The Congressional App Challenge (CAC) is a competition for students, high school or below, to engage their creativity and participate in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education fields. This competition is a nationwide event that allows students from across the country to engage in the fields of coding and computer science by creating and exhibiting their software application, or “app,” for mobile, tablet, or computer devices on a platform of their choice.
The “Congressional App Challenge” is open to all students, high school or below, in Oregon's Third Congressional District. Students entering the competition must submit before 12:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time on November 2, 2016 as well as provide a YouTube or VIMEO video demo explaining their app and what they learned through this competition process.
Can I Participate?
Any student in a participating district, in high school or below, can compete. Individuals submitting on behalf of teams must meet the eligibility requirements for individual contestants.
To Register
To enter, the student must first register at www.congressionalappchallenge.us. Students will have until November 2, 2016 to register and submit their app. After registration, there is a few days gap until students can submit their app. Please take this wait into consideration and register early. All entries must be an original in concept, design and execution.
