Congressman Pete Sessions

Representing the 32nd District of Texas

Sessions Works to Hold Hillary Clinton Accountable for Her Irresponsible and Lawless Actions

August 16, 2016
Press Release

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions, Chairman of the House Committee on Rules and member of House leadership, joined Congressman Tom Marino (PA-10) and thirty-four other Members of Congress in sending a letter to FBI Director James Comey pressing him to clarify reports from the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of an illegal, private email server while serving as Secretary of State:

“Hillary Clinton has blatantly violated the law, lied to the American people, and compromised the safety and security of Americans. It is unconscionable to turn a blind eye to her complete lawlessness and it is a slap in the face to all Americans to let her off the hook because of her name. No one is above the law, and that includes Hillary Clinton.

“I sincerely hope Director Comey heeds our call to action by providing the transcript of Mrs. Clinton’s interview with the FBI. It is of the utmost importance that we provide Americans with the truth and hold Mrs. Clinton accountable for her completely irresponsible and lawless actions.”
