Health Care

Does the health care system need some reforms? Absolutely. But a government takeover is absolutely not the answer. Everyone agrees that many aspects of our health care system need to be reformed. There are millions of Americans who cannot afford to purchase health insurance and many that are unhappy with their existing coverage. However, many of the solutions can be found – as they so often are — in more personal control, free-market competition, common-sense reforms and a crackdown on frivolous malpractice lawsuits.  I have voted many times to repeal The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) and I will continue to work toward repealing that law and replacing it with solutions that work for everyone.  Obamacare has created an environment where most people can afford to buy health insurance but can't afford to go to the doctor because of very high deductibles.  This "solution" has created more problems than it has solved and we need to repeal it and start over.
