I am proud to be representing Maine's 1st Congressional District, particularly at such a critical time for our country and the world. It has never been more important to fight for the issues we care about, and I will not back away from my values and principles—or those of the people I represent.

I will continue to fight for affordable health care and reducing the epidemic of gun violence in America, protecting LGBT rights and the rights of religious and ethnic minorities, and ensuring that women have the ability to make the reproductive choices that are right for them. I will do all that I can to resist attacks on education, working people, Social Security and Medicare, immigrants and refugee families fleeing persecution and violence, and preserving our environment and wild places for future generations.
