Educating Our Youth

Education is the key to success. It is the surest pathway out of poverty and the best way to strengthen our communities. That is why we must make sure that all of our children receive a quality education that prepares them to succeed in life. In Congress, this means fighting to make college affordable for everyone, working to make sure our HBCUs have the support they deserve, and pushing for more and better career and technical education to give people the skills they need for a modern and changing economy. Making sure that our education system is strong  so that everyone, regardless of how much money their family has, can access a quality education that helps them meet their goal, is one of my highest priorities.
